Solid base rules, but gets so specific to the point where its like, do we really care about the properties of a book? or how much sleep one needs? where is the time for roleplaying? I strongly encourage people who like roleplaying but hate the semantic details and math to check out other systems too. DnD is defs a GOOD game, but there are better ones out there.

My only issue in going through this handbook is that it doesn't denote where rules have been removed or simplified, which from a new-player standpoint is good but from a prior-edition player standpoint has made me go frantically cross-searching for things I thought I'd just glossed over only to solidify they're just.. not a thing anymore.
It's a well written book, for a great game. I'm looking forward to playing it even if I might later try to steer my party towards an alternative edition to game.

Finally cover-to-covered this, including spells. Most of the time was on that section TBH.
I'd give the game overall five stars (naturally) but this book has so much to cover that it doesn't take the time to make it interesting, which the others do much better.

I'm guessing that I've read this through at least once fully. But easily use it every day!

I think this will be a very helpful book to have. I have spent the past couple days daydreaming and musing on character creation.
