I don’t think I’ve read many romance novels that are written by men. I’m still undecided on how I feel about that perspective. But I did enjoy this story of two sisters and a third friend who find themselves exploring different stages of love and relationships. The character development was so much better than a typical romance novel. I also liked the So Cal setting and references.

This was decent, the pacing was off for me and some parts dragged. We sped through time so much it was hard to tell how much time had passed. Definitely not my favorite EJD book, but i don’t hate it withered honestly i connected the most with Chiquita and her mother abandonment issues which is something i don’t think is discussed enough.

If you don't want to think while you read, I recommend Jerome Dickey. Great for laying by the pool.
