Sim é tóxico mas é um livro ffs, eu vivi para o drama. Quem já esteve ou é próximo de alguém que já esteve num relacionamento tóxico, consegue perceber que na verdade é uma história bem real e consegue compreender melhor os personagens.
Plus, ler um livro de 500 páginas em 11 dias é inédito para mim e isso quer dizer alguma coisa.
Vou correr comprar o próximo livro.

I went into this blind. I didn’t have any expectations but I promise you that ending I DID not see coming. I was sobbing!! Automatic 5 star
The writing of this book is not great (I spotted so many typos) and the plot was a bit repetitive but it also was pretty fun and addictive. I’d sit at work and think I just wanna go home and read my book hahah.
A couple things: the clothes descriptions were a bit ridiculous to me. Maybe people who are really into designer clothes would enjoy that but it was so frequent and long winded. Like “I take off his Tom Ford blue silk pleated shirt from the Autumn Winter collection of 2021, and he pulls down my strapless woven pink dress with the halter neck from Dolce and Gabbana.” Like that’s just excessive.
Also, some of the chapters featured text conversations and it was so hard to know who it was even between. Like it would be a convo between BJ and one of the boys at the end of a Magnolia chapter?? And that was not clear, it would have the name at the top of the other character but who’s sending the text!?

This book wouldn't even exist if Magnolia had little self-respect. Like gurl seriously he cheated on you.

This book gives the same feeling as hate stalking that one person you randomly think about every 4 years. These characters are insufferable out of touch morons who I would probably want to physically assault if we crossed paths in public. They’re all pathetic examples of how autisticly out of touch a person can be (except Tom, Bridget, & a few others). But. I think I enjoyed it nonetheless, or maybe I’m a masochist. Who knows. But some of the quotes in this book felt like they should be footnoted in the Bible, so. I will be returning to this universe.
