This was really beautiful. I listened to the audiobook which is read by some of the essay authors and a few voice actors. The essays span a wide variety of topics from different perspectives, but they all center around the title- vulnerability, shame resilience, and the Black experience. The stories are heartbreaking, and moving, but inspiring and hopeful. I plan to pick up a hard copy at a bookstore so I can re-read and highlight some of the lines and passages, there were so many that as I heard them read I thought "oh I wish I could highlight that and read it again". I highly recommend picking this up.
