I went into this book knowing that the cover was cute. I've never read anything else by this author and I didn't read the synopsis. The Double D Ranch was a cute slow burn, closed door romance. Josiah and Jessie were cute and I enjoyed reading their story. 4/5 β
Dual POV β yessss!! My absolute favorite!
Guy falls first β he's clearly been in love for years.
Slow Burn β this trope kills me, but it's gotta happen sometimes..

I know it says it's a slow burn, but we are 80% into this book and there has only been 1 slightly spicy dream and then kissing... Goodness, where is the spice?

DNF. It wasn't bad, but it started to feel like a love triangle, and I hate those. There were some funny moments, but I was confused a lot. The POVs are barely distinguishable, and with the names being so similar, I had a hard time remembering whose head I was in. Add the love triangle and I'm out.

I don't really have much to say on this book. The writing was poor, which then affected the plot and the characters, but it was fast paced. I couldn't connect to the characters, as I couldn't get a grasp on their personalities or relationships. The plot seemed like one whole mess that I just couldn't keep up with or understand. Must say I won't be picking up the rest of this series.
