Fun and fast. Nice to see Steinbeck treat historical figures as characters worthy of humanity and disrespect.

First Steinbeck I've read since Of Mice and Men in high school. I liked most of it until the climax.
I did enjoy the theme of childhood vs. adulthood and greatness. Interesting and I think I agree with it.
