I liked this book and I liked seeing the characters from the previous books but I thought that the book was a bit too quick.

First you see Rawley coming back to town and seeing his family after being away for years. Then there are a few chapter that happened before he left, showing you what really happened and why he really left. Then Faith and Rawley get together in the present time.

I liked seeing Rawley come back but I wanted more scenes where the rest of the family are shown as there were only a few side characters that were shown in very short scenes.

I liked seeing the past and Faith and Rawley’s relationship when it started to change. But something happened that I knew was going to happen and I still hoped that the conflict would turn out to be different.
SpoilerThe main thing that bothered me about this book was Dallas’ treatment of Rawley 6 years ago and then it’s like nothing happened. In reality, Dallas confirmed all of Rawley’s insecurities and then he still acts surprised / is wondering why Rawley won’t call him Pa.

This book was fine and I really liked this series so I’m definitely going to try other books by this author.

I really liked this novella--it was a nice little read to wrap up my holiday weekend :)

Rawley and Faith's story is fairly fluffy--it's basically a forbidden/ second chance romance storyline, with a hero who has believed for years that his past makes him unworthy of the heroine. The two of them are clearly meant for each other, though, and it doesn't take them too long to come to their senses--helped along by some nosy relatives and an adorable five-year-old. Even though their pasts have some pretty weighty issues in them, they get resolved fairly quickly/ (This is probably my only complaint here, that probably a full-length novel could have done them a bit more justice as far as their conflicts are concerned.)

Ultimately, Texas Legacy is a short and sweet addition to the Texas Trilogy. It is #3.5; the hero and heroine are members of the next generation (the daughter and ward of the couple from [b:Texas Glory|1438359|Texas Glory (Leigh Brothers Texas Trilogy, #2)|Lorraine Heath|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1388236503s/1438359.jpg|1814105]). I haven't read the original trilogy (yet! They're on my TBR now--I loved the excerpt at the end from book one) but this worked just fine for me as a standalone, since it's several years after the third book ended (and some 20 years IRL, I believe). Yes, if I'd read the other books already I would have been familiar with most/all of the characters who popped up in the early chapters, but I honestly didn't feel as if I'd missed anything major--it was pretty easy to figure out who they all were enough to get the gist.

Rating: 4 stars / B+

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

A delightful wrap up to this series! It was great to see Rawley get the happy ending he deserved.

My review in a nutshell:

This was very nice and cute, I really enjoyed it. Texas Legacy was the perfect conclusion to the series, and it did justice to Rawley and Faith. I loved the main characters, how their relationship developed. And I also got another glimpse at the family members I loved in the previous books. The perfect comfort read.
