Literally the greatest fantasy romance book of all time….  I ate this book up. It’s very long and yet I read the whole thing in about 2-3 days. When it was over I felt like my life was missing something… that’s how engrossed I was in this book and these characters!

The MC, Feyre, is such a beautiful and well written character inside and out. Her journey from book 1 to book 2 (this book) is so heartbreaking, empowering, and somehow relatable even though it’s fantasy!

I felt this book had really good character development for the MC and also for other characters, specifically, a love interest (who I won’t name so I don’t spoil it).

It has moments of really good action and adventure. Moments of anxiety and you could feel the MC’s feelings of pain and distress. But also moments of a lot of humor and fun and love! This book has so much heart! The spice in the book is amazing, well written and steamy!

I loved it and loved characters and will forever!

Thank god it's not like the first book, this book made me want to keep reading the series.

The only exciting part of this book was picking out what Maas stole from the Black Jewels series.

The difference between this book and ACOTAR was NIGHT AND DAY (no pun intended). I fell in love with these characters and their beautiful, devastating brokenness. What was so lovely about this book is that those characters also fell in love with their flaws, and became better individuals for it. It was heartwarming to read of characters that never gave up on each other, particularly when it was extremely difficult. That, and they made good choices most of the time. When they didn't, they owned up to, and grew from, those moments. I do love love, but I love it even more when it seems like the right kind of love, whether it be sibling, friendship, romantic, or other kinds of love.

That, and a TON of plot happened in this book.
The backdrop of a budding war with global life or death stakes, a discovery of not only fated love, but a healthy love, really put this book over the edge for me.

I won't say it's the most beautifully written, nor is it a groundbreaking literary achievement, but this story captured my heart, and I look forward to reading it again.

This book is the first book in a long time that I completely devoured. The last 200 pages I read within one night.
