A riveting book - of the three perspectives, Joan's felt the most tragic to me, especially after seeing what a smeghead Ted was to her. My major criticism is that it didn't feel too much like a history book and more of a gossip book in disguise. Additionally, I hear that the author has a perchance for making stuff up, so I evidently should be taking this stuff with a touch of salt.

Still, it didn't stop the stories from being fun to read and its descriptions of both Bobby and Jack's assassinations were heartbreaking to read.

Lots of information, even for those who've read up on the Kennedys. All of them led sad lives. It's not a family curse, just the consequences of the sins of many. Ethel's faith is inspiring.

at times too speculative and vague, gossip magazines levels even, but still an okay read.

"Jacqueline Bouvier. Ethel Skakel. Joan Bennett. Three women who married into America's royal family and became forever linked in legend. Set against the panorama of explosive American history, this unique story offers a rarely-seen look at the relationship shared among the three women -- during the Camelot years and beyond. Whether dealing with their husbands' blatant infidelities, stumping for their many political campaigns, touring the world to promote their family's legacy, raising their children, or confronting death, the Kennedy wives did it all with grace, style and dignity." (From Amazon)

A great biography that looks at the three Kennedy wives in comparison to each other and how they individually shined. I watched the miniseries and it was a great introduction to the book.

This was surprisingly good. It's a big book so it took a while to get through.
