Not my favorite NR novel. Mostly because the lead female character really got on my nerves with her whiny, wishy-washy neurotic bearing. The ending was so predictable and the mystical story that accompanied the main story wasn't really wrapped up in the end as expected. Perhaps that happens in the 2nd or 3rd books. The Gallagher family was fun and interesting so perhaps I'll give them a go as long as Jude Francis has been relegated to the rear of the cast list.

3.5/5 stars. Good romance story with some Irish mythology mixed in.

I am in love with Ireland always have been. The music, the culture, the land and as it's part of my heritage it's not surprising. That the land calls to me. Reading this series let's me be there, even when I can't cross the sea.

I don't think Nora Roberts has ever written a bad book in her life. This book is the first in another of her trilogies (of which I'm a fan) and it definitely delivers. Love, magic, and Ireland all in one quick bite. If you're not a fan of romance novels, I'd steer clear, but if you're a fan, this is sure to please.

The setting is lovely, but the protagonist is a bit annoying, and the romance fairly contrived and tepid. A fluff read, and a mediocre one at that.
