CW: sexism, sex shaming

I received an ARC through Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review!

I love the royal family. I just find them fascinating, as many others do. But this book? Eh. I did like that it focused on other individuals than most biographies do. There was more space given to Margaret and Tony, Dickie Mountbatten, and Prince Andrew than I expected it to have. I was fully anticipating to give it a four star review and considering buying it for my collection of books on the current royal family... up until the point where Diana entered the scene. I get it, Clive, you don't like her. You really don't like her. He spent so much time in the book dissecting her sex life and shaming her for having multiple partners. It was entirely uncalled for and it turned me off of the book. Not to mention, he also started shaming Fergie and her sex life. It was disgusting and it showed the author's bias in a way that wasn't pretty.
