I thought this was a very nice, cute romance that gave me a good insight into bengali culture, which I really liked.
The bare bones of the story is Hani and Ishu deciding to fake-date to each achieve their own goals, but as the story progresses you get to explore their relationships with their culture and their families, as well as watching them discover their feelings for each other.
The writing wasn't exactly my favourite, it felt a bit repetitive at times (I can't count how many times someone surprised someone else my answering a message immediately as if they had been waiting for it), but it was still a very enjoyable experience. The biphobia was a bit more triggering for me than I was expecting, being a pansexual person who has had a lot of doubts about their sexuality, so just keep that in mind before you read.

Okay, to be honest, I never was too big on the fake dating trope but I loved the execution of the author in this book. Hani and Ishu aren't overly pushing their fake dating and are keeping it relatively sweet.
I felt a lot while reading this book - squirmed during cute moments, angry whenever Hani's "friends" were invalidating her as a person or could just relate to Ishus situation with her parents and how they treated both her and her older sister.
Nikhita, as well as our two main girls, were very lovable characters and I loved the development of Nikhita from how Ishu described her to have behaved and acted towards her to how she was presented in the books present and how she was there for Ishu.
Over all I really loved this book and it was very hard to put it down!

The last line broke me…
I did not want this book to end… It left me more emotional for different reasons than I went in expecting, but I loved this book so much nevertheless from the beginning. It’s such a profound story, so I couldn’t put it down especially during the second half! Everyone needs to read this!!
