This book was hard to read. I related to Violet and Finch due to their mental health struggles. I was known as the girl who tried to hang herself last year. So, seeing Finch being referred to in similar ways really hit close to home for me. Finch was one of the most real characters I've ever read. The way he acted was a great example of someone that is passively suicidal and broke the typical norm for books that have to deal with the subject. Most of the time a character who is suicidal or recovering from that is treated like the typical always-depressed person. But not for Finch. He displays a more realistic and different take on the trope. I really liked that.

This book was powerful. It was sad but hopeful. And even if I didn't like how it ended, it was still good.

I didn’t really like this book, because it was pretty depressing. But overall I guess it was just me and my non-maturity that was the problem. If I was older, I probably would’ve handled it a bit better and not started sobbing half way through, never stopping...
LIKE WHAT OMG ITS SO SAD
Okay so don’t get me wrong-the writing is amazing, as you can see by its impact on me… but just know that I was bawling my eyes out!! BEWARE.

This was an enjoyable read!! I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I did. It was a hard read because of the topics it cover but I didn’t find it to be unbearable. Overall I liked this books a lot!

Honestly I don’t think i’m ever getting over this book. This was my first Jennifer Niven read and I have holding up the universe in my tbr. I loved reading Finch’s and Violets story, learning all about their past and going with them on all sorts of adventures, the romance in this was also perfect. By the end of this I was sobbing so much and my heart was broken, what if Violet didn’t say anything, would Finch still be here?  When Violet went to the last places they had to wander and connected up the dots it made me feel something which idk how to describe but the texts Finch sent finally made sense. My heart literally shattered when I realised they were going to find Finch in the lake.. don’t think i’ll be recovering any time soon </3  Loved it.

Amm... I don't know what to say... This book kinda left me speechless.
I'm not going to say a lot about it because it's better not to know what it's about.
But I just want to mention that this book is brutally honest and there is this element of raw emotion that I really admire if I can find it anywhere.
This that one book that I would recommend to anyone to read.
