I liked the twist at the end about the mom. Imo it was a bit slow and a few pages could’ve been edited out. A book about trauma, loneliness, friendship and a journey of recovery.

Was expecting E and R to end up together tbh, but I think that’s just me being in my romantic reads era

- the wrap text describes a mere slice of what the story is actually about
- sometimes the main character reads social cues perfecrly fine and somethimes she doesn’t get them at all. big inconsistency there.

I loved watching Eleanor discover herself throughout the course of the book. It was refreshing to see how kind everyone was to her. I think that was the thing that surprised her the most - realising that she deserved kindness.
