This is one of those rare books where I feel a strong kinship with the protagonist, as if the book has peered into my soul and reflected it back to me. I certainly haven't experienced trauma anything close to Eleanor has, but the way she sees the world is deeply familiar to me.

i loved this. the characters are 3 dimensional and realistic. i loved every interaction that happened between the two main characters in particular. the internal monologue of the main character was funny, relatable, and so entertaining. this is like the female version of A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman.

I picked this up from the library since many people had recommended it online. However, after that I saw that many others didn't like it so I avoided reading it till the last possible minute which was a waste since it was so good. I really enjoyed eleanors development. Raymond was really nice and I think this book tackled with such heavy subjects fairly well. Overall it was quite enjoyable imo.
