OK ! I don't even know what People like anymore . Be it the absurd ending of the Dr Strange movie*, to giving this book only 3.67 . WTF ! Well to me this was the best work from Tom King and as usual the artwork by Janin and chung delivers .

* absolutely rubbish , I say , I actually fell asleep during that

this was simply amazing , filled with double paged panels all through out the book and narration of a letter Batman wrote to Selina once the book actually felt like King , Janin and Chung trying to Show-off their skills .

King manages to interconnect the lives of Bane , Selina and Batman and then showcase how different the paths they chose have led them in their respective lives , meanwhile Janin and Chung with their absolutely beautiful artwork simply stunned the readers eyes with the full comic full of Batman kicking ass and beating minions after 1000 minion to arrive at the feet of Bane , Psycho pirate and the Judas Catwoman in a awfully similar state reminiscent of the iconic Knightfall story-line

I have always disliked Batman as a character. This issue have me insight into Bruce Wayne in a way to felt like "real talk". My perception is completely altered.

"Mother and Father. They would have laughed. To see me all dressed up. The Bat-Man. They would've laughed and laughed... And they should laugh. Good and hard. Everyone should. It's funny. The whole world should laugh. Do you think I don't know? A grown man. Dressed as an animal. Sitting on a gargoyle. Waiting for crime to come..."

Goddamn this was one beautiful monologue, all the way through. Please read it. I'm guilty, this is exactly the Batman I wanted to read. I want to go around quoting this, put these words on my skin. I effing love this angsty shit.

If you haven't been a part of the news, Tom King just rewrote Batman's origin story a bit. It's up to the fans whether this particular amendment sticks, but I'd like to think it'll hold. It fits in with Gotham's (the show's) vibe, so I mean, hey, maybe?
