After Night Raid's loss of Braht, the team trains even harder. Meanwhile, Boss leaves Akame in charge while she searches for new recruits to fill the new vacant spots of their deceased friends. While Esdese looks for new replacements and a form of revenge against Night Raid. Creating a special police task force, called Jaegers.

While still plotting, Esdese holds a tournament to find candidates to "fall in love" with. Her search stops when she sees Tatsumi's win and smile. The gang now tries to rescue him.

Pretty hilarious how this manga represents gay characters. Exactly how you'd expect a homophobic person would write a gay character if they wanted to add a little bit of "diversity." It would be offensive if it wasn't so stereotypical and eye-roll inducing.
