I love Max and this was a great reinforcement of that, but it got ridiculously repetitive, like there was a minimum word count and the book didn't have enough plot of its own to support it. Sophie Amoss did a good job reading; I'd probably have given up otherwise.

I enjoyed hearing Max’s backstory. It was a well-written book. I would rate it a 5 because I like the book but I don’t actually like the book because it goes into detail about the abuse Max sees in her home. I do not recommend it to anyone who does not like reading abt that stuff.
