Free on Audible, this comprised 5 tales of length 20 minutes each. 3 of the stories (Kill Phil, The Character Assassin and The IT Man) were interesting, but the remaining 2 (Mummy Business and The Egg That Knew Too Much) were too weird.
Each of these were narrated by UK comedians, but I did not find these tales to be humorous.
Other reviewers have mentioned that series 1 and 2 are much better than this one, so I might listen to those.

I enjoyed this series of slightly odd, but well-written, short stories. They reminded me of those sort of bizarre horror stories for kids, a la Round the Twist.

Here’s what this book is about:”Imagine if Jackanory was set free from its childish shackles. What twisted, funny tales would it unleash upon the world? Inspired by the popular children’s TV show, Crackanory combines some of the UK’s best comedy writers and performers.”

I listened to this book on Audible and I thought this collection of short stories were interesting to listen to. These stories are twisted but I didn’t think they were funny.
