This book felt like it lacked direction. There was the original intentions of the book, and then there was where the story actually went. And where the story actually went felt very "telling not showing", especially considering this is a graphic novel.

A sweet story of coming to terms with yourself and finding not only your ancestors and your family roots, but a place to put down roots and call it home. (While not graphic, there is some images of sexual activity or afterwards)

Simple, quick read. I liked the art and appreciated the way the story took an unexpected turn for the author, but it was a bit slower than I was hoping and didn't have quite the sense of place I picked it up to read about.
