What a beautifully devastating book, I cried a lot. I liked all the little hidden and notsohidden messages about appreciating life and living it to the fullest. The story of Mateo and Rufus is so beautiful and their journey together on their last day was just so inspiring

THIS BOOK IS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME! i’ve been on booktok since april of last year and i’ve always seen this book being advertised as such an amazing book. and when i picked it up off my shelf recently to read it i can tell you that it does not live up to the hype. the characters were boring and basic, the relationship between them feels forced and just awkward and just the overall book is just not good in my opinion. If you want a quick read just to read something then sure it’s a good read for that but for actually wanting to get invested in a book it is not.

Not me trying to convince myself that they both would survive.

Kinda disappointed in the ending, not cause they died, more cause of the lack of details and information. I feel that the end was a bit rushed compared to the rest of the book.

I still absolutely loved it and had to fight against tears in the office…

this book completely changed my perspective on life
peck was the most idiotic idiot who ever idioted
also i loved how all the mini-stories intertwined
so many perspectives on life and death were shown and seen and it was just really beautiful

im actually so bad at reviewing books i loved because i have to emotionally process them before i can write but then i forget what i was feeling
