This was not for me. I found it a little too cute, too tame, and too middle grade🥲😅❤️

This is a delightful little graphic novel! A friend lent it to me, and I was so happy to have read most of it on a cozy rainy afternoon. The vibes are so spot on I had to put it down and make a cup of tea! It's very Ghibli-esque and wholesome. I love the concept, the art, and the complexity of the characters and relationships mostly conveyed through the illustrations. I really just wish it was longer and had more plot, but perhaps that will come later in the series. I will certainly be checking out the rest of the series, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a cozy fantasy read!

Where to start...? A quick read, unless you're like me and will spend lots of time looking at the illustrations (which I believe you should!).
Recommended for anyone with a heart, but especially people going through a hard time right now. Some central themes are found family, healthy relationships, trust in oneself and others, getting through dark times with the help of kind people, love for animals, adorable dragons and diverse representation (doesn't go into depth, it's simply there as a normal part of life).
This is a book you can read many times over, and despite being marketed (as far as I know) as MG, it gave me the vibe of adult fiction.
It also gave me massive Studio Ghibli vibes, which is always a plus.
Advice: suspend your disbelief and don't expect a plot that makes sense. The plot is a mess, but you'll forgive it because of the gorgeous illustrations and cosy wholesome feelings you'll get while reading.

WHAT IS THIS?!
THE CUTENESS?! THE AMAZING LGBTQ+ REP?! POC CHARACTERS AND DISABILITY REP?! MY WORD THIS IS GORGEOUS!!
Seriously if you need something cute to pass time or read in-between books, this graphic novel is it. Plus, who would have thought of dragons that can produce tea leaves from their horns?! I want one now!
Literally every and all stars.
