I do love this series. This time Allison is juggling two different cases while trying to still pretend to most of the town that she doesn't really see ghosts.

Lots of mysteries for Alison to solve in this one. Many twists and turns, some new ghosts and the very best last line.

Love love love this series and author! It's like reading a modern version of Ghost and Mrs. Muir...if the ghost/s were an expired PI and his expired client still within the walls of the house where they became deceased.

Alison has so much on her plate. She is a single mom, has a haunted guesthouse to run and a PI business with the deceased PI in the house. She has a houseful of guests waiting to see the ghosts and a murder to solve.

The mystery is great, the mean people are mean, the nice people are nice-ish, ghosts a-plenty to cause havoc. FUN!

This is one of my absolute favorite series. It's pretty much on the get-as-soon-as-it-comes-out list. This one I won from(aka EscapeWithDollyCas)thanks to her fab giveaways.

The plot in this was a little convoluted, and it took a very long time to conclude. I enjoyed the setup for future events in Allison's life, and they mysteries wrapped up interestingly but it was just an awful lot happening that didn't wrap up until the last three pages or so; being that it took me a (disjointed) three weeks or so to read this, it was a little hard to keep straight.

Audio Rating: 5.00 (not part of my overall rating)

First Thought when Finished: The Thrill of the Haunt by E.J. Copperman was my favorite one in the series.

Overall Thoughts: Since I have been asked a few times, I will just tell you that yes I read these out of order AND it didn't take away from my enjoyment at all. This series is one of my favorite cozy mystery series. It has great characters, fun cases, and lots of twists. It never gets boring.

Audio Thoughts:
Narrated By Amanda Ronconi / Length: 9 hrs and 23 mins

Ronconi--need I say more? Seriously if you have never listened to a book narrated by her then you are missing out! She has great pacing, emotion, and snark!
