2.5 stars. A bit enjoyable at points but that’s kind of it haha! I don’t feel I got much out of this book besides some light entertainment but I will be continuing to the next one. Honestly this felt kind of like Sanderson wrote fan fiction for his own series, if that makes any sense. I’m hoping I’ll enjoy the next one more. Also I think the slang that Sanderson created for this book just distracted and annoyed me a lot. To be fair, this isn’t really the kind of setting that I enjoy much so it’s possible this just isn’t for me.

I loved the original trilogy of Mistborn , wasnt expecting this to be as good but its a surprisingly good return back into this world and im looking forward to reading the next part. Wax and Wayne are fun as a duo and you could read this without reading the first trilogy but the first books blew me away.

Delving deeper into the Mistborn universe was a grand treat! The detail, the depth of characters, the dialogue, and the intriguing questions raised by Sanderson about Allomancy and the other metal arts make this book worthy of reading and re-reading. I can't wait for more Mistborn novels!
