This series continues to delight. It’s a joy to see the characters actually portrayed in living color. It’s also excellent to see the smaller adventures that our heroes experience, the ones that aren’t necessarily worthy of novel-length stories. This volume let us check briefly back in with a character from Foxglove Summer, which makes me appreciate the thought that everyone is putting into continuity.
I really like the little one page “Tales...” at the end of the graphic novels. One of these takes us back to the Night Witch herself, to let us see how she’s faring in her current situation (which you don’t fully learn about unless you read, well, Night Witch). Another gives us a brief, amusing moment that reveals how Beverley Brooke handles would-be litterbugs in her stream.
