Okay, let me just start with my main issue and get it over with. The men are all about 30 years old with Saige being almost 27. They talk like they’re about 20ish. Some of it just wasn’t realistic. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m all for suspending belief for a story I mean I am reading a fantasy romance with shifters and demons so like… but some of the stuff they said just wasn’t it.
I loved that this book gave multiple pov’s, I loved seeing into everyone’s head. HOWEVER, I feel like seeing into all the character’s heads spoiled some of the information. I feel like I knew what every twist was going to be within a couple of pages so I was never shocked by anything which was a bit disappointing.
What I did enjoy was how different all the men are, they each have their own backstory which is nice to see…(excuse me as I try to remember if you find out backstories during this book or the second book) Anyways, they have backstories and I like how they all clearly have different personalities and powers.
Nothing SUPER significant happens during this book and it read a bit slow for me but I still enjoyed it? To be completely honest I enjoyed the second one much more. This book felt like an opener, I mean it was the first book, so I think it’s just introducing us to the characters and whatnot.
There are a couple smexy scenes with a daddy kink as well as M/M. If you’re not into those this might not be for you.
I was iffy about continuing with the series, I won’t lie like I almost stopped after this one. It was a low low 3 for me. BUT I kept going and really enjoyed the second book. This was my first fantasy reverse harem, so we’ll see how it goes.

The author seems to be very into sex as domination which just isn’t my jam. Especially when consent to kink is never really given explicitly. It’s a shame because the rest of the story seemed interesting.
