It sounds like a mouthful - You Will Have A Black Labrador - but it was the perfect length, a series of short essays, semi autobiographical in nature, forming a narrative about a modern Georgian Woman.
It is funny, witty and mixes reality with an imagined world. It felt very natural as if I was just sat having a chat about all sorts of things. Hairstyles to emulate film stars, family and how funny and weird they can be, how important food is, friendships, saying no and my favourite ‘Make me an Omelette’.
I really enjoyed the authors easy style and natural humour. I just connected with it and really it’s an everywoman book, you will find something here that will make you smile or go, oh yeah!
Having enjoyed this. I’m keen to hunt down her novel Friday Evening, Eight O’Clock

Contradictory to the title of the book, I, for one, do not think I will.
I can hardly keep plants alive, let alone speaking, moving creatures.

Blacky—you can see how I creative I was as a child, is one of my oldest pals, he's been around since I started walking or speaking or whatever it is that babies do first and since I'm the queen of holding on to nostalgic things, I didn't let my mom give most of my toys away, even though we move a lot and even though, unnecessary items can be difficult to handle and pack and due to which I have at least 20 big soft toys hanging around in various corners of our house, looking like they definitely don't belong there.
My mom says she's gonna give them all away once I move out but she's kidding obviously. I hope.

Ahem. So if you're still reading and not just because you love me but also because you were having fun, I bet you'll have a gazillion times more fun reading this amazing semi autobiography by Nino Gugunishvili.

This book is a collection of essays centered around love, childhood memories, omelettes and how a haircut can mean much more than just a haircut.
The chapters were sassy, hilarious, witty and super relatable at times.
I absolutely loved her story telling skills, various life lessons, anti-life lessons and so many amazing anecdotes! I didn't expect to have so much fun reading someone's semi autobiography. If you're looking for a short, light, comforting yet humorous read, I highly highly recommend this one.
I read it in a day and I wished there were more chapters.
I'm definitely gonna read more of her books soon!

This collection of short essays is humorous and entertaining. I wish that there were more! The writing is descriptive and clear. It is almost like I can hear the author’s voice in each essay. Some of these almost made me cry and the essay about omelettes made me laugh. I am very thankful to the author for giving me a copy of the book and I hope you all will check this out!

A lovely selection of short stories. I don’t usually read short stories but these were very good. I could imagine some of them as longer full length books. A family album was my favourite one
