Couldn’t really get into it, everything was very surface level

I tried to finish Cat in Hell's Chance but ultimately couldn't.
From the beginning, the story was rushed (this includes the only spicy scene I got to), & as the plot developed I found it to lack any real depth or detail.
The scenes jumped around and were quite confusing (including the only one with what was supposed to be decent information regarding the hell dimension and why Tabby was there) while the characters, especially Tabby (the FMC, mind you), weren't likeable. Actually, I found her to be plain old unlikeable.
And the guys... Well, they were OK, but for creatures supposedly dedicated to taking care of their Queen and being head over heels for her they didn't even remember that she needed food or to feed her (more than once) so yeah...
Overall, Cat in Hell's Chance was a big ol' no for me. I don't read many books with feline shifters, but there are certainly stronger ones out there.
