well, he says it all. and I totally agree with him!!! and he held true to his word with this book!!! oh my heck! I loved everything about it! he's truly shown once again how amazing he is as a storyteller and his writing is becoming a TON better for the past few years, and he ALWAYS ends his books perfectly!!! I'd suggest instead of just reading this, listen to it on BOC. I did and the music and the sound effects made this book even more for me!!! I'd HIGHLY recommend this book or ANY Baldacci book whoever's looking for a good book to read! but this book is it! great beginning, middle AND ending! One of my new favorite "newer" baldacci books! :D

Leider nicht so gut wie die Memory-Man-Serie.

I enjoyed this book better the first time I read it when it away called 61 Hours and Lee Child was the author. The Camel Club series is great and original and so is the King and Maxwell series; but this feels as if Mr. Baldacci wanted to branch out but didn't know what to do so he rewrote a Lee Child novel. I think I will read The Forgotten now to see if it is another Lee Child imposter.

Zero Day introduces a new hero: John Puller, an army CID investigator. He is sent to a small town in West Virginia to investigate a murder of an army man. Puller finds out there are actually six murders, all related. There's a lot of twists and turns. Baldacci does a good job stringing you along until the very end. However, the dialogue sometimes feels unrealistic, dry. I think Baldacci's Camel Club series is much more enjoyable.

This was a fabulous book! I loved it and John Puller.

Another excellent series...just starting...great characters.

Very good read. Kept me engrossed the entire time. Something new and unique. Unpredictable. Unexpected twists at the end.

I really liked this one. Every once in awhile I think Puller got a little whiney. But I liked it enough to get the next two in this series.

An experienced and hardened Army CID investigator is sent to a rural town in West Virginia to investigate multiple murders.

This is the type of book I might expect to find in someone's hands on a long plane ride - basic entertainment. It's not bad, but it's not mind blowing either. It's entertaining enough to keep you turning the pages to the end, but you probably won't ever read it again.

John Puller is one of those dudes who seems to be good at everything - top physical condition; incredible combat and self-defense skills; advanced mental acquity; and a calm, cool, and collected demeanor. And his patriotism is through the roof. I like that he is paired up with Sam Cole - she is skilled, but she feels more like a real person with natural fears and flaws.

As the book goes on, the stakes become increasingly higher. While the setting isn't necessarily my cup of tea, it does become a more and more exciting read as things progress. Was this my favorite read of the year? No. Was I entertained by it for a few days? Yes!
