I'd rate this a little lower than the 2nd book in the series, but still an enjoyable read.

Not his best. A fairly plain vanilla plot, unexceptional characters, bad guys who had no unique characteristics or reasons for doing their bad deeds. I hope Baldacci isn't running out of story ideas or characters. If so, he's had a great run up until this book. But I'm sure any authors who pens a huge mass of novels in their careers eventually sees the well start to run dry. Hoping the next book will be better.

The cliches never stop in this one, I finished it, but I don't think I'm going to the next book in the series.
An excellent story. Plenty of unforeseeable twists. One thing that I love about Baldacci is that he's willing to kill main characters, so you never know if someone may be alive or dead at the end of the book. It gives an extra something to the mystery. This is one of his best.
