I love Baldacci! This one was a bit scienc-y, even for a science degreed person. Maybe it was the branch of science I didn't like, but it worked well for the plot. Lots of twists, some of which I saw coming and a big one I didn't catch. Forensics is a science that does fascinate me, tho, so this was a page turner in most places. A few dry spells in the 500 pages, but not many. Love the cat's name
Specific to the audiobook: I need big warnings on audiobooks that contain music and random sound effects (sometimes there with the action, sometimes not), because they just annoy me to distraction.

An intriguing story-line that kept me entertained till the end of the book.
Unfortunately the overall experience was marred by the overly detailed descriptions of how much of a good soldier and guy the main character was. Sure, have your hero, but but you can establish the fact that he's an awesome and skilled soldier/detective without bashing me over the head with more facts every 2 pages.

I was really disappointed. The characters were charming and easy to read but there didn't seem to be any sort if story line worth reading. Nothing really happened and when it did it was predictable.
It is the first time I have read a book by David baldacci but I will read another of his books in the hope it is more compelling than this one.

This was an entertaining read. The plot sucked me in and the book kept moving at a fairly steady pace and I would definitely recommend it to all mystery readers.
That being said, my only complaint about this book is that it seems that the good guy had everything that he would ever need. He needed a certain type of body armour, he had it. He needed night vision goggles, he had them, etc. After the first couple of times, it started to get a little unbelievable. Other than that minor complaint, it was a good book.
