Perfect read when you're in the mood for a fun, light read with mild suspense and tons of steamy romance!

This reminded me of the type of story Janet Evanovich would write, except the crime/sex balance was flip-flopped.

I found this book to be be entertaining, but not really a wow book. There was some good humor in it. Lacy is afraid of a relationship because her mother has been married several times and she's been cheated on. One day when she takes her dog outside to go to the bathroom she finds a guy in her shed, insert Chase. Chase is a police officer who is being framed. He holds Lacy hostage until he can convince her to let him stay with her for a few days to hide out. Things evolve from there. It was pretty insta-love with some cute animals thrown in.

From the first chapter...

From the first chapter I couldn't wait to see how the story unfolded! I really enjoyed all the quirky moments between the main characters. Not only did they add to the development of the relationship, but it also helped break up the stressful suspense following them around.

I just love the books in this series!

I really enjoyed this. It was sexy and funny but not over the top ridiculous like I see in many romance novels. Lacy and Chase were incredibly likable characters.

This book was fun AF. Cop on the run ends up in out FMC shed and they team up and figure out how to get evidence he's been set up.

The comedy was amazing I first read this almost a decade ago and still loved it when I reread it last year

I think this is the first ebook I've finished :) Well, apart from Let's Get Digital and other how-tos.
Aaand I started it way over a year ago, maybe almost two... I started reading this at the airport, and almost finished by the time I got home again. The last 3 chapters or so remained unread until a few days ago, but I remember the story pretty well.
It was a nice, light read, I enjoyed it. It was pretty predictable, but that didn't really matter :)
I disliked and skipped the "pet advices" at the end, though. Is it really breaking news you should love your pets? Oh well...

9/1 - I enjoyed this book more than a number of the previous books I've read. I guess I like the idea of being trapped in my house with a possibly corrupt policeman as a romantic situation. The romance was good, the tension leading up to the romance was good too. And of course, everyone (except the bad guys) had a happy ending.

(That is a ridiculous review that I shudder in embarrassment to put my name on. If I can get a hold of it from the library again, I'll read and review it again and try to articulate myself a little better this time.)
