3.75🌟

I liked this book way more than the first. It was more intense and the characters were much less irritating. I have a soft spot for Creighton…. It’s always the quiet ones that surprise you. This spice in this book is pretty hardcore but in a good way. Rina Kent does an amazing job of giving you a taste of the surrounding characters and parts of their stories throughout the main one.  If the rest of the series is anything like this one…then damn I’m in trouble 😝☠️🔥

Honestly. Seriously. This was... awful. Creighton King is literally the absolute WORSTTTTT. You can't try to cover someone who is blatantly abusive and controlling as a Dom or as some sort of kink. He literally had no redeeming qualities. I'm so annoyed cause I was looking forward to Annika and Creighton's story, but I literally just got the Ick (and I NEVER use that term) the entire time. I feel like in the end Rina used Adrian's point of view to "redeem" him or get us to like him. Didn't work. I Still hated him. His Lordship Remington Asher honestly saved this book for me. Which is saying something cause he is the biggest douchebag there is hahaha.

SPICE: 🌶🌶🌶🌶, RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, VIBES: 🖤😈🔥💜💪

REVIEW:
CREIGHTON KING! WOOO! You misunderstood, broody, beautiful man! 😮‍💨 We love a protective MMC who is complex, mysterious, and will burn the world down for HER. 🔥

Annika, our FMC, is lovable, innocent, and so fiercely loyal that her own father calls her Creighton’s personal defense attorney. ⚖️😂 Their connection? Undeniable. The way they get to know each other, fall in love, and then face a family secret that could ruin everything—chef’s kiss. 👏

But Annika? She’s not going down without a fight. She brings color (purple, to be exact) to Creighton’s black-and-white world. 💜 And together, they’ll take on whatever comes their way. Obsessed.
