I was very disappointed in this book. I felt it was so full of cliches that it bordered on the absurd. I felt it was written on a sixth grade level. The writing was so trite and unbelievable. The characters had no depth and weren't fleshed out at all. The humor felt forced and just fell flat. I have read other books by this author and liked them more, this one felt like she had taken a step back in her overall plotting and writing skills. Not sure if I will read another by her.

Awww! The ending is definitely not the way I thought this would go.

Career centered Holly strives to impress her boss. It's a losing battle but one she is desperate to not give up. If only Dragon lady had a heart. Whatever the cost, Holly needs to keep her job. She's supporting her Grandmother and it's not cheap.

Losing focus isn't an option. Nor was it a possibility until he moved in next door. Gorgeous, tall, rippling muscles- serious eye candy (why doesn't my neighbor look like this)- and he sparks something inside Holly that was never there before.

Whether it's chemistry or a long dry spell, Holly is afraid of it. She won't go there. Until she did.

Now she's trying to undo it and well...one taste is never enough.

It's a very cute story about a woman who is afraid to love and a man who's afraid of the crazies. After his exes, I'm surprised he hasn't considered becoming a monk.

But this can't happen...
They can't happen.
This shouldn't happen...
It can't...

But what if they said yes to each other?
Only You
Only you can make the darkness bright
Only you...

I LOVED this book! Holly and Kevin were the perfect couple and the entire story was hilarious. I would have read this book in one sitting if I hadn't started it too late and as it was I stayed up wayyy later than I should have. I was hooked from the beginning and laughing out loud multiple times. Kevin was introduced in a previous book by Denise Grover Swank, but you don't have to have read the other book in order to enjoy this book. The entire story was charming and the writing was full of whit. I felt like this story is one that could have happened to me or one of my friends because it was so real, and had its awkward moments, just like life does. I can't say enough good things about this book and am already dying for more from this author. I give the book a solid 5 stars and recommend it to anyone who likes contemporary romance.

There were some laugh out loud moments in this book but the humor couldn't save it for me. I really couldn't gel with how every female not a former or future heroine in one of the author's books was portrayed as ridiculous and crazy. The men are all perfectly normal. What? The end was super hard for me to swallow too.

Only You was another great read from this author. It is a spin-off from the Wedding Pact series, but you don't have to have read them to read this one.

Holly loves to plan weddings. She loves her job, but her boss is...let's say a bit strict. A bit crazy. Holly works her butt off for her boss Nicole, does so much, but Nicole always gets all the credit. It is worth it to her though, as someday she wants to have her own shop. She wants to be able to plan her own weddings.

Kevin is just back from serving overseas and is trying to get back into civilian life. His sister, Meghan, bought him a house that she says is a fixer-upper, but when he sees it he can't believe she actually did that to him. That this is the house that she blew all his money on. It is a disaster and is going to take a long time to get it into shape.

Neither of them were looking to fall in love. Holly doesn't want nor has time for a relationship. And neither does Kevin. In fact, Kevin made a pact to swear off women. Only now that they are neighbors one thing leads to another. After a super hot night they both realize they might not have been looking for it, but they might have found it. Kevin definitely wants more and oh these two were so cute together. Now everything is not sunshine and roses just yet. There are some unforeseen circumstances that arise, but it was so much fun to read. I loved both of them.

While this book has its sweet moments, to me it was just way too much insta love, which I didn’t expect.

Kevin has come home from the Marines and his last girlfriend, and his sister has the biggest surprise for him. In the mean time he has sworn off women and when he meets his neighbor he knows he has to get to know her. When he finds out who she is he knows he needs to know her just that much more.
But will he be able to open his heart and let his walls down or will he end up screwing up and loosing it all? Holly is in her dream job just not with a dream boss. She has a big wedding coming up and she can't disappoint the client or her boss but she feels the tension between her boss and her and knows something is up, but will she do just about anything to keep her job? She hooks up with her neighbor and finds out who he is and needs to keep the distance it just one more thing keeping her from making the best for her grandma. Will she be able to keep her heart guarded and her walls up or will her neighbor knock down on her walls?
I had fun reading this book, the author takes moments and in those moments she puts in the funniest things at that perfect time and has you laughing out loud. The storyline is so good and keeps you drawn in to the point that you feel like you are catching up with friends instead of reading a story. Its completely enjoyable and a super quick read. I did not expect the ending such a surprise and it tied the book up completely, I really could not see the book ending any other way. I can't wait to read more from this author and this series.
*This book does contain strong language and adult scenes.

Once again DGS portrays realistic characters you want to know more about. I found humor in Kevin's struggles in remodeling the house Megan found him while I felt sympathy for Holly in her dealings with her unreasonable boss. I enjoyed the surprises twists that Holly and Kevin met along the way. A fun book!

This was my first read by this author but I really liked this book and it won't be my last.

It was a little insta-love but The connection between Holly and Kevin was believable enough that I can get over that.

Kevin's mother was so frustrating and the way that Holly just sort of sat by and let herself be treated so badly was annoying, but understandable. Holly's cousin Melanie was almost as frustrating. One minute she's pushing Holly towards Kevin and the next she's telling her to stay away. She gave me whiplash. I loved his sister Megan though. Her plotting and planning is what brought Kevin and Holly together in the first place after all.

This story was somehow both fast-paced and slow burning and I enjoyed the ride. I think that my only complaint it how I was really enjoying the story, even the direction it took in the end, but then it was just over. I wanted more. I still had so many questions and I would have really enjoyed a wrap up in the form of an epilogue but I look forward to reading more about everyone in the rest of the series.
