This is the best series I have ever read

The final book was enjoyable and I think the best one of the trilogy. It felt a little long for me, but it was a windy, rollercoaster of a plot for sure. My emotions were all over the place with Mia. I felt bad for Mia in ways, but I also felt bad for everyone else too. The book separated into "books" makes a lot of sense because it's really how the plot went that there were mini things in each book, but each book kept the theme of family, friends, revenge, and love while progressing the story to the climax. I enjoyed the relationships that Mia's developed through the 3 books too. I'm still not sure about Ash vs Tric, but I can respect the decision and the three of them.

You're told in the beginning that Darkdawn is about Mia's death and I have to say that I latched onto that for the WHOLE book. I kept wondering and trying to reason out how she would die before the book told me, but I also enjoyed knowing there's going to be this ending that you don't know how we will get there. It was a good journey. It was a good conclusion.

I didn't LOVE Nevernight overall and I think this is not my tone of book I prefer. I can appreciate the craft, writing, and story, but it's not something I'm going to adore.

I love books that thoroughly encompass me as a reader, ones that drag you into the world inside headfirst and simply don’t let go. The Nevernight series was one of these reads for me. You jump into Itreya as effortlessly as Mary Poppins jumps in to one of Bert’s chalk drawings except instead of Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious its SupercaliFuckingGorySexyandAudacious. It is wholly encompassing and it took me a good long while to re-adjust to the real world, one without murderous assassins and magic.
