Stuck in a time loop reliving the worst Valentine’s Day, Emilie Hornby is trying everything she can to get out of it.
For starters, she spots her boyfriend kissing his ex. She loses her spot for a scholarship, her dad accepts a new job offer and no matter what Emilie does differently, she keeps crashing into Nick Stark; the surly chem lab partner who pretends to not even know who she is.
While this book is definitely a bit cheesy and predictable, I ate it up

I love a good, cheesy YA story, I did LOVE "better than the movies" and I am obsessed with Lynn Painter constantly quoting Taylor Swift in this book. However, none of this sat right with me. I was so freaking nervous her entire "DONC" day because I had a feeling what happened, would happen, so I wasn’t able to really enjoy her and Nicks "perfect day". It was also weird how they would fall madly in love over the course of one day, like that is just a little too cheesy and stupid for me. I was really hoping the entire time that the plot twist would be that Nick was also in the loop and thats how they were able to fall in love. Obviously, Em got to know the guy over countless days, while he was obsessed with her after just that one day and yeah, it just didn’t sit right with me.
So, quick, easy, sort of cute read, but not for me.
