lynette does a really great job of big cliffhangers with wild twists, but the twists stress me outttt. the only thing ab this one that kind of didn’t sit right with me was just how unquestionably trusting jaren was, like i get he’s in love with her but not even a little hesitancy to spill all his family secrets.. seems very unlikely. otherwise, fantastic sequel, i’m very excited to get into the last book.

This book is part of our Summer trilogy for my YA for adults book club and I didn't get this until after our meeting on it, so I already knew a lot of what was going to happen. Kiva is naive and stupid, Jaren is way to trusting, Zula is a psychopath and Tor gets stuck in the middle. Guess we'll see what happens in the last book.
Loving this series! The endings... omg!! You have to go on to the next for sure to see what happens. I'm mad, I'm excited, I'm scared!! I can't wait to read The Blood Traitor now!
