This book is part of our Summer trilogy for my YA for adults book club and I didn't get this until after our meeting on it, so I already knew a lot of what was going to happen. Kiva is naive and stupid, Jaren is way to trusting, Zula is a psychopath and Tor gets stuck in the middle. Guess we'll see what happens in the last book.
Loving this series! The endings... omg!! You have to go on to the next for sure to see what happens. I'm mad, I'm excited, I'm scared!! I can't wait to read The Blood Traitor now!

For a young adult book, this punches hard in the feels. The plot, the characters... I'm so surprised to be liking it this much. The character growth and backstory you learn throughout this book is really great. I would recommend this series to anyone.

Loved this one. Lynette Noni is such a masterful storyteller. I really enjoyed reading it. Also that ENDING!!! WTF!!! Why is she back there. Noooo!!!

Just when I thought I couldn’t love this series anymore this made me realise I could. I won’t say to much as it can be spoilers for how the last book ended but I loved seeing them all become closer. But CAN WE TALK ABOUT THAT ENDING. I fully felt like my heart had been ripped out and stamped on, I don’t know who I’m hurting more for either. Again so many twists I didn’t see coming, one thing I will say is I HATE Kivas sister with a passion but absolutely adore her brother. I cannot wait to read the next one.
