My review is definitely a little biased from nostalgia and genuine love for these characters. Reading this newest line of Sonic’s adventures reminds me of how as a kid I’d requested my dad to get the single issues of the line back then for me. It brings me a lot of joy to imagine the younger generation still loving this franchise.

It’s fast paced (when isn’t it with Sonic?), funny, and beautifully drawn. I always forget how much I miss this group of characters until I see them all together again. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy just have such fun on the page and I have fun reading it!! I’ll always have a soft spot for Amy as my favorite from when I was younger.

As far as the beginning of a new series, I’m absolutely going to keep reading and hopefully catch back up with these childhood faves.

Not going to give these a star rating as I'm pretty certain the targeted audience is for kids, but I do want to track the ones we own and also log them as we (mostly me) read them together!

The kids are enjoying these and the story and artwork is a lot of fun. I was unaware there were so many different types of Sonic and loved being schooled by the kids while we went through them.

This book is super nostalgic to me. I read the Archie Sonic comic series for a VERY long time until I was old enough to have to pay for it myself, then unfortunately had to be cut from my budget. AND I was one of those Deviantart kids that followed chibi-jen-hen So, I was on the floor when I saw her original characters in the background of this book! This was a blast from the past and it was a trip for me.

Anyway, This book was actually really fun, great pacing, solid understanding of the characters, and the art work in each issue was amazing! All the characters felt dynamic and art-style flowed really well. I'm wondering if they will include any ARCHIE lore or other characters from that comic series? They mention the resistance and I really hope they include the ARCHIE characters from those issues.

I think this series is really promising and has a lot of potential in future issues! ~Ashley

p.s. I also have had several hedgehogs! I got my first hedgehog, Hannah, in 2nd grade!

A nice, light read. I just finished playing Forces beforehand, so this was at least more entertaining than that.
