Another great romantic comedy

You can't really go wrong with RS Grey. She writes sexy, funny, and smart contemporaries that always hit the spot.

this was light and fluffy, but not much to write home about.

I liked the writing and it was fast paced.

my only problem was that we didn’t get to see them do couple things without the sister.
since there was no build up, and no development as they got together the relationship felt very surface level. the plot didn’t convey the deepness of their relationship.

the main characters didn’t bother me but they also didn’t stand out.

This was such a fun read! If you’d like Grey’s Anatomy crossed with Pride and Prejudice plus a smidge of Gilmore Girls and a bunch of truly laugh out loud moments - read this book!

Bailey is a surgical assistant and her doctor is retiring. Her only option is to work for Dr Russell - known as the most difficult doctor to work with and his assistants generally only last for weeks. Will Bailey last longer? No spoilers from me!

I will also say that I loved that none of the conflict came from miscommunication or shutting each other out when someone got upset. I loved that their big conflict was handled so well.

Started out great but I think it lost its charm as it went on.

This was my first R.S. Grey book in a genre I rarely read (contemporary romance) and I have to say, I’m impressed. The story was well written and the romance believable. Having worked with grumpy but amazing doctors I can understand the grudging respect that Bailey harbours despite Matt being stern and rude. Him being hot tips this into reluctant lust, despite being driven to anger by him constantly. The only reason this is a 4 star read instead of 5 was due to the “voice” this was written in. It was written in 1st person POV, but was more like being told a story by the character instead of being the character. Not a huge issue, but just something I found ever so slightly off-putting as it kept me at arms length from the characters and story. Or maybe not arms length, perhaps just a finger length. I will definitely be reading more from this author.

Shes had a crush on him for a long time and it turns out Matt isn't so immune to her as he should be. Thanks to meddling siblings they end up falling in love.

Not an awful start for my year. Nice read and I enjoyed the laughs. Her sister is probably my favourite in this book though shes pretty much me.
