A great bibliography, with romanticised facts about Charlotte's life alongside some chapters about the author's work in gathering information for the book.  A must read!

FOR MY FELLOW PPL WHO READ MY ENGLISH REVIEWS, PLEASE FIND THIS BOOK IN YOUR LANGUAGE AND READ IT. it’s still relevant to this day and also speaks volume about the horrific stuffs the leaders of the world will always do, no matter how many times they say we « can’t do the same mistakes ».

Beautiful sad story of an artist during and before holocaust. The story interviewes the events that happened to Charlotte with the author's travels researching her life. That format took a bit of getting used to but adds to the athmosphere and genuinness of the book.

I‘ve got this book by a friend of mine and I didn‘t expect it to become one of my favourite french books. Everything about it is to my liking. The writing style of David Foenkinos, this work with biographical elements and especially the philosophy of life and death in this. I‘d recommend this to anyone honestly
