Part of my self-healing/self love journey reads...I thought it was pretty good with a more scientific road-map and lots of personal stories.

Refreshing to read something written by someone with actual credentials after reading Mel Robbins latest book!!

I liked this subject. The booked helped to see things in the perspective of the emotion "SHAME".
The author is a shame researcher and shares how much the emotion of "shame" has contributed to the personal anxieties and short comings. The author suggests to tackle shame head-on, and accept the gifts of imperfection for ourselves and in others.
I really this subject and the thought process.

With respect to the book content, sometimes I found the content to be little repetitive, and sometimes found filler contents. I was okay to ignore those. Watching the TED talk of the author helped me to imagine her narrating the book and really like it.

Read for work book club. It was okay, there really wasn’t much research involved and she kept saying she was gonna share peoples stories but she never really shared any besides her own (which seemed kinda made up). I agreed with like half of her points, sometimes she would write arguments that seemed completely irrelevant. It was fine overall.

Meh. Couldn’t focus.
