Appreciate how concise this book is compared to similar books. Some really good nuggets in there, but the Christian spirituality was distracting for me.

Some parts hit really deep, others felt incredibly repetitive and unnecessary. Still, it was a good read.

I just cannot get into Brene Brown. I’m sure she is helpful to some people but maybe since I have read a ton of self help books already I felt like she was telling me things I already knew, and explaining things to me like I didn’t know them.
I do like what I have seen of her speaking though. Her talk on “blame” really changed my perspective on things.
But that’s how it goes. Some people I love as speakers but cannot tolerate their written work and vice versa.
