I started reading this comic on WEBTOON a few years ago (I can't tell you the exact year because my memory's pretty shitty. I also can't tell you how I came across it lol but I'm glad I did.)

I decided to check it out at the library, and reading through it took me back to memory lane <3

Nick's journey is a bit similar to mine, as I was also figuring out my sexuality – although it took me until my early 20s to realize maybe I wasn't as straight as I thought I was.

I absolutely love these characters.

When a friendship strikes between two different boys, that soon becomes something more.

I have such a soft spot for Charlie. He's gone through so much and I get his hesitancy towards falling for Nick.
And Nick, I get his confusion. When you've been one thing your whole life and in the next you start questioning yourself. But I love that he's comfortable with Charlie, even though he's a bit anxious about his newfound feelings.

The ending was a bit of a tear-jerker :(

(Maybe this is a sign for me to pick up where I left off on WEBTOON 🫡)

Loved every page of this book. Yes, the story is a bit simple, but I felt all the emotions and that’s the most important thing I guess

Alice Oseman, you mad cute genius, thank you so muchhhh for this cute comic/book. This has got to be ny favorite LGBTQ+ book.

I have laughed, I have awed at the drawing, I love Charlie’s character so much, as well as Nick. Ben on the other hand, he deserves what happened at the end. What a dickhead. I love the coach so much, how she said “dont assume other’s sexuality” and “gay and straight arent the only options”, it was wonderful. The drawing was wonderful and the relationship between Charlie and Nick was so cute.

I also love the bi-representation in the book. I'm not too sure about Charlie, I think he is gay. But for Nick, he likes both girls and guys and it's not one of those "you're just in denial, you're either gay or straight" situation which I really appreciate.

Overall, great book! Would really recommend to others if you want to read something cute and gay. Don’t be homophobic kids/gals ❤️
