Moriarty the Patriot Volume 2 takes place directly after the first volume and follows the Moriarty brothers as they try to take down the high society that mistreats the lower classes.
When I tell you I am absolutely OBSESSED with this series already and I'm only two volumes in. I've always been a Moriarty fan in the BBC show Sherlock and found the characters so intriguing. The fact that there's a whole manga that follows him and his cohorts just makes me so happy.
First off the story was just so good in this. The way William's brain works is absolutely brilliant. There was several moments in this volume that I freaked out over how smart he is. The way he is able to manipulate the situations to work in his favor and is always ten steps ahead of everyone else is one of my favorite things. Also, I adore Sebastian Moran. He's always been an intriguing character to me as well and I love that he's so funny in this.
I also have to mention that I love that we finally got Sherlock, Watson and Mrs. Hudson. Mrs. Hudson in this is such a badass, I love her. Sherlock definitely needs Watson with him to keep him balanced and I loved seeing how slightly unhinged Sherlock was. I can't wait to see how the dynamic between Moriarty and Sherlock is going to play out.
Of course, the art style in this is absolutely stunning. There is so much attention to even the littlest detail that I found myself staring at the pages just to pick it all up. The panels never feel too crowded or too sparse. It's perfectly done.
Overall, I am loving this manga series and I am so excited to read more of this manga series.

"Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable must be the truth."

Total Chapters : 4 chapters
Bonus Chapters : 1 Chapter

The way I wanted to slowly savour the manga but gosh, I swear, there are certain things that are better than the anime, but in a sense, it kind of co-relate with each other.

ONE THINGS FOR SURE, I HATED THAT I WAS ROBBED OFF THE CHANCE TO SEE ALBERT IN A UNIFORM LIKE THAT IS SO FREAKING RUDE.

Anyways, this volume showed the overall plan that William has and how he's planning to start it one by one. I love how devious it is and it may seem cruel but its also essential to somehow change the system. His first face-to-face meet with the infamous Sherlock was quite :')

From the standpoint of someone who watched both the anime and the manga, for me, the anime missed out on the political aspects of the manga but had ended more on the solving of the cases part, like example, the case of the noble on the ship. When read together, we had better understanding of what William's motives are, and we had started the Study in Scarlet first chapter in the volume.

I'd feel that the manga will just get better and I honestly can't wait for it! VIZ MEDIA SHOULD PRINT THIS OUT FASTER CAUSE I DONT WANT TO READ IT ONLINE GRR.
