This was one of the most unique horror/thriller books I have ever read. Confessions is a twisted story of revenge. Yuko Moriguchi's little girl was found dead at school and in the opening of this book, Yuko on her final day of school, tells her students the story of the day her daughter died and how she has decided to get her revenge against those who were involved.

And so begins a series of twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what the outcome would be. We hear from different perspectives and learn more about what happened and how certain decisions affected how events unfolded. Moriguchi's story is one of how far a mother will go when it comes to her child and how deeply grief can affect us. Though disturbing at times, with characters that were extremely flawed, it was a truly thought provoking story that will stay with me for a long time.

I was fully invested from the beginning and the ended was perfect, shocking and horrifying. Excellent book, highly recommend it. 5 easy stars!!

Even with some of the twists the book had, I found it difficult to stay engrossed in the story. Most of the characters are deeply unlikable and their motives seemed bland.
