This was so uniquely written and I enjoyed everything about it.
The plot of this book was so amazing and suspenseful but the way it was written made me absolutely invested and loving every word.
Things that shocked:
- The teacher giving 2 of her students HIV infested-with-blook milk as revenge for murdering her daughter
- The perspective of the 2 murderers which explained why they did what they did and what made them do it (1 of them was looking for approval from the other murderer and wanted to be appreciated and become his friend while the other murderer who made the shock device that was the murder weapon was looking for his mothers' approval because she went to "pursue further education" but he later finds out it was to start a whole new family)
- The husband of the teacher secretly removing the HIV infected milk from the school so the 2 murderers don't get HIV
- The reaction of the 2 murderers when they found out they had HIV (1 completely isolated himself and ended up killing his mother - his father was always busy with work and so was hardly present whilst his older sisters were married and lived separately. The other murderer continued to go to school and be heavily bullied and planned to do worse things like blow up the whole school by planting a bomb - the bomb was removed by the teacher herself)
- The length a mother would go to take revenge for the murder of her daughter. And the expect she was willing to go to.
- How youth violence stems from their household as that is where they mainly develop their moral compass and determine right from wrong
Enjoyed this thoroughly and am shocked I have not thought about it since finishing it (which is why I am not giving it a 5 stars) but am hoping to read more books like this and probably more from this author.
