Book was due back at the library and I just couldn't find myself caring enough about the plot of the characters to keep reading.
I was really intrigued by the concept of this book with the love potion. But in the end it was just miscommunication or rather the refusal of communication at all with each other so that got tiring really fast and also very infuriating.
I expected it to be a little but more spicy so that was also a let down.
I like dual POV books better and this was just proof for that. I think with dual POV the writing would have been better, a bit more showing than telling and then I could have connected with the characters more.
Another point is the age of the characters. The characters are in their late twenties (I think) but the way they acted and (not) communicated made them seem more like 22-24 years old.
What a wasted opportunity with the orgasmic chocolate.

another deeply unlikeable main character, except this time it wasn’t believable that she could really be that stupid

This book checks all the boxes for the perfect cozy fall romance: magical witchy vibes, laugh out loud writing, and a cat that can communicate better than the main characters. A fun easy read to get you into the spirit!
