This book was really good. It just wasn’t at all what I was expecting. This book dealt with a lot of serious things and I feel as though it should have had a trigger warning For rape, especially considering the whole scene from that night is in this book. This book reminded me a lot of Speak, except it was done 100 times better and added more to the story.

Just wow!

It's not very often that I get so invested in a book to the point it's triggering emotions that I keep at bay on the daily, this book hits different. I love the whole relationship between silver and Alex , and how he slowly helps her heal through her trauma, then there's the whole HS situation, the whole popularity food chain thing is a reality for everyone I'm sure. Overall this book was told in such a way that you'll struggle trying to keep your emotions in tact. I would go as far to say it broke, but I think that's mainly due to the fact when I read I see movies instead of just the words. Definitely 10\10 one of my fave reads of all time.

4 and half stars!!

The first page sucked me in! I love the mood the author set and her use of words were great! I was instantly interested. And I love the picture she paints with her words.

The high school setting with cliques and bullying and the privileged elite versus the regular Joe's was handled so well.
I loved the maturity of the characters and story despite the characters being 17 years old.

Silver and Alex are great and I really loved them! Early on I got a good idea of who they were. And I adored them both!

Their stories are a bit gritty and tragic. Horrible past experiences that I think draw them to each other.

There are a lot of quietly beautiful moments between the two that made me swoon and feel all the emotions!
I thought their banter was great! I loved the evolution of their relationship and the respect Alex displays for her and her wishes.

There wasn't a dull moment. I read this in one day, glued to the story.

Towards the end there is a shocker!!

Really liked the story and look forward to more from these characters!

Wow! I definitely didn't see that coming!

The Rebel of Raleigh High has some obvious plot points if you can read the signs and then there is the nuclear bomb Callow Hart drops in you. There is no avoiding it. You can outrun it. She drops it and you are left with the wreckage. A hollowed out cavernous remain of everything you thought you knew. I was surprised but eventually not shocked. It's interesting the amount of pain a human can take before it becomes too much. Everyone has their own limit. Or even breaking point.

This survival story is about strength and keeping your head held high. Silver is brave and damn stronger than those idiot extends give her credit for. She may not have made good choices but she's human. She is going and I look forward to seeing her become the vibrant woman she can be.

I ~LOOOOOOOVEEE~ ALEX.

Like wow. Loyal to the bone and beautifully developed tortured soul yet so sweet.
Love him.

I loved Silver too. (Her name, 10/10)
She is a broken girl but still such a badass.

I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 because the beginning was slow but the end seemed so rushed. The whole *scenario* that happened towards the end was ?????out of nowhere???? I didn’t see that coming but it wasn’t a good plot twist, in my opinion. I don’t see how it fit in.

I would read a second book if there indeed is one published because I feel like the characters didn’t get the ending they deserved.

Alex and Silver consumed my entire world from the first word of this book until the very last. The chemistry between them was palpable from their first interaction and from there it was a snowball effect as the connection between them grew more intense on every page.

I loved that there was no cat and mouse game between Silver and Alex they were very open and honest with each other which was exactly what they both needed because that was the only easy bit in this book. The storyline was explosive with so many twists and turns that I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. I will be immediately starting Revenge at Raleigh High

Okay, so the beginning kind of threw me off and then I just kept on reading - and meh. I wanted to like it more than I actually did.

The Rebel of Raleigh High was just filled with characters that annoyed me. The popular kids, who just happen to be the villains, were just meh. I hated their little group name and basically everything about them. In it, you will meet an asshole named Jacob. Well, not just any ole asshole you could meet any day of the week. No, he was a small minded asshole and I feel like that's even worse. Besides him, you will also meet Alex - who is the dashing hero in this book. He's meh but better than Jacob in a way? Then there's Silver, who was also meh and I just didn't care anymore about these three.

Other than that, there was a hint of romance somewhere in the book but it just felt so insta to me and I hate that shit so much. I don't even want to talk about it or them.

Overall, I was just bored with everything. I was intrigued at some points in the book but then something stupid would come around and I would just be annoyed again. Again, I wanted to like this book but yeah - I didn't.

Uses triggering events (i.e. SA and a school shooting) that don't add anything to the plot except shock value. If those elements are used deftly, they can be very effective. Unfortunately, in this case, it all felt like trauma for trauma's sake, and as a cheap narrative device. Which I did not personally care for at all.
