This pretty much met my expectations for an anthology of four Christmas novellas, which are of course their own thing. I've read and liked books from all of these authors except for Jordan, and while none of them were the best I've ever had, they were all cute and fit the bill for listening to while multitasking.
Tessa Dare's story is fun and straightforward; Sarah MacLean did a riff on A Christmas Carol that I really enjoyed; Sophie Jordan took on Home Alone: HR edition, and Joanna Shupe turned out a solid Gilded Age story despite pushing the bounds of a credulous premise (on that point: how are you forcing your employee to throw a dinner party? If you think she's a wealthy society lady, what leverage do you imagine you have over her to force her to do anything? Why did anyone agree to this?). There's also a bit about Scottish shortbread in each story that I thought was charming.
I've had trouble finishing works from this narrator before, but either the increased speed or a lot more practice with audiobooks in general made it a much better experience, and her accents are excellent.

I enjoyed the first two stories in this collection, thought the third story was just ok, and disliked the final story. Overall evens out to an enjoyable but not great read.

This is a perfectly serviceable anthology of Christmas themed historical romances.
Tied together by a magically shortbread recipe these four stories all are all quite distinct from one another. They all move very quickly (they are short stories) which isn't personally my preference in romances so some couples were more believable then others.
My favourite was Tessa Dare's. It felt the most 'romcom' to me. I believed them falling for eachother, I liked her family.
My least favourite was the last story. I've never really dabbled in American golden age historical romances but this one didn't really appeal to me. The hero was overly pushy and quite unappealing to me. The lying made the consent seem dubious to me.
